Programming as we know it requires a programmer developing the program: writing, testing and compiling 'source' into 'object' program that users 'execute'. Any change to screen layout, program logic or file structure requires repeating the procedure which could take minutes to hours. With GenRe, the 'source' and 'object' programs are the same. Whenever changes are required, the user flips the program to design mode, makes the changes to either program or file and flips back to execute mode on-the-fly. This feature is impossible with current programming methods. |
