How to Download and Install the Software The master software, including the programs and sample applications, is approximately 220 MB. Due to its large size, it has been compressed (zipped) into about 80 MB for quicker download. After downloading the software, it must be uncompressed and then installed. Download Steps Repla The download link is http://www.genresoftware.com/downloads/GenReSoftware.zip Note: the zipped filename, GenReSoftware.zip, is case sensitive. 1. Use the right mouse button to click the download link. Then select the Save Link As option. This procedure gives you the option to copy the file to C:\Temp folder which is the recommended destination folder. 2. Save the compressed file, GenReSoftware.zip into C:\Temp folder. This takes a few minutes.
3. Use Windows Explorer to open C:\Temp folder. It should include the compressed file which is about (most recently) 80 MB in size:
Uncompress/Extract Steps 4. Next, use the right mouse button to click on C:\Temp\GenReSoftware.zip and select Extract All ... option. 5. The Extraction Wizard window pops up. Click [Next]:
6. Enter the destination folder, C:\Temp\GenReSoftware, and click [Next]:
7. Wait for the extraction to complete, then click [Finish]:
Installation Steps 8. Use Windows Explorer to open the newly created C:\Temp\GenReSoftware directory. It should contain a subfolder called GenReSoftware, which in turn contains several files and a program called setup.exe. 9. Double-click setup.exe, to initiate installation.
10. The installation essentially copies the sub-subfolder into a new directory, GenReSoftware, under C:\Program Files. On completion, it starts a session and tries to create a desktop shortcut. If the shortcut is missing, refer to readme.txt for instructions on how to create it.
