Indexing GroupS of Pictures

Instead of one picture, you can have up to 27 pictures per screen. Ideal for showing sports teams, family trees, virtual stamps and coin collections, etc.

This sample shows pictures stored in C:\Program Files\MYOExternalFiles folder. The folder contains 8 pictures (jpegs, bitmaps and icons) so that most picture slots are blank. The record key is butchart which is the filename of the first picture.

 

When you click on a picture, say picture 5, it is shown in full screen mode:

When you click the picture, it returns to the program screen.

 

In about 20 mouse clicks, you would be able to convert a single-picture to a multi-picture screen, and index all the pictures stored in a folder.

The steps are:

1. Create a picture program and open the default screen:

 

2. Click the hammer. The default picture is shown and the designer panel appears:

 

3. Click on the picture so that its details appear on the panel:

 

4.  Click [Group Pix], then [Tile]:

 

5. The picture templates are displayed. Select the first and click [Apply]:

 

6. The template is returned to the screen:

 

7. Click [Close] of the panel to return to program execute mode.

 

8. Close the program and go to batch menu. Select [Create Pictures Index]:

 

9. Select the newly created pictures program/file:

 

10. The next screen confirms the file details. Click [Continue]:

 

11. Go to the folder that contains the pictures and [Continue]:

 

12. Accept or modify the default options and [Continue]:

 

13. The Create Pictures Index program returns control to picture program.

Click [Erase] and [Retrieve] to show the index (record) that has been created:

 

Use the [hammer] to tidy up the screen by changing the green backgrounds into white so that they blend with the screen, and by adding comments and descriptions.
