Create a Picture Program This program creates an index (record) for every picture or group of pictures and uses the index for quick retrieval of pictures. There is option to show pictures recursively, and include descriptions and comments. In less than 20 mouse clicks, you would be able to create a picture program, and index a picture. The following steps illustrate how the program is created: 1. Go to systems menu, and select a blank menu - click [Menu 1]:
2. Select a blank program slot of Menu 1. In the example, [Program 1] is selected:
3. Click the [hammer] icon to activate the menu designer. Then click [Program 1] so that its details appear on the panel:
4. Click [Create] and select [Create pictures program]. A picture program is created and assigned to program1 slot.
5. Change the program name to, say, 'New Pictures Program' and click [Close] to return to the menu.
6. Click [New Pictures Program] to open the new program:
7. The initial program is shown below. Picture ID is the record key. The light green area is where the picture is displayed. The green border is the picture frame. A picture is added by clicking the [P1] button located at bottom left of the screen.
(At this point, you may click the [hammer] to modify the screen: resize the screen, add descriptions and other fields, resize the picture i.e. make it a portrait, change colors, etc. For this exercise, the default screen is used.)
8. Click [P1] to open the Get Picture window:
9. Go to the folder where the picture is stored. In this example, we want to select butchart.jpg. Click the file and [Add], to return the picture to the screen:
10. Enter a picture ID, say, 100001, and [Create] the record. The key is entered to retrieve the picture. You can also include descriptions that can be used to select records instead of trying to remember the keys.
Tweak up the screen using the [hammer]: move the picture to the center, add a description and other fields, and hide the green borders.
