GenRe has grids for viewing up to 9 other files and/or its own file. The Contacts Database program is temporarily modified to include 3 grids. Instead of viewing other files, the grids show the contacts database records.
Viewing 'Own' Files [All contacts] displays all contacts.
Like the other online screens, grids are customizable. The [hammer] resizes the screen, hide columns, change fonts and colors. Clicking [Same suburbs] displays other contacts that live in the same suburb as the current record (Rob Lowes):
The number of contacts are counted. Depending on the file, you can also count and sum up amounts. The above grid is useful, for example, for realtors, when showing other houses for sale located in the same suburb. Another example is to show customers in the same area that purchased the same product. [Other suburbs] shows the contacts that do not live in Rob Lowes' suburb.
In another application, this screen could be 'show the customers in a territory that have not purchased product X' so the salesperson can call on them. Viewing Other Files It is possible to view 9 other files at the same time. For example, as the customer screen displays a customer record, the relevant sales, accounts receivable and sales representative information also pop up. |
