GenRe includes a powerful report generator. This reports menu has two sample reports, and both based on Sales Transactions file.
Text reports are printed using Microsoft Wordpad (below), Word, Notepad or Excel.
Charts are in the form of bar, pie, line and stacked bars.

The chart data for January, for example, is obtained using this parameter screen. Notice that the action is to sum up amounts.
Report Generator Features 1. consolidates data from up to five files 2. automatically creates report layouts based the data and number of fields selected 3. three levels of sorting 4. criteria for selecting/excluding records prior to printing as in getting the records such as last month, this month or next quarter only. 5. ability to derive (generate) columns prior to printing such as totals, balances and ratios 6. "exception reporting" as in printing products that are not sold by certain sales persons in a given territory (non-sales analysis). This kind of exception reporting supports, for example, a shift in marketing philosophy from selling the company exclusively to selling product lines exclusively thereby expanding the retail customer base. In times of market decline, this reporting identifies products for deletion. |
