Creating and Cloning Programs |

Each of the nine system menus, in turn, has slots for nine programs. You can either (a) create a program from scratch or (b) clone an existing program and tweak it to come up with a new program and file. First, create or activate a menu. Then use one of the menu slots to create a program. Creating a menu Go to systems menu. To find out if Menu 1 is active, click [Menu 1]...
If active, its lower level menu is displayed - proceed to Creating a program section below. If not active, this message is displayed:
To activate Menu 1, click the hammer, to go to the system menu designer, and click [Menu 1] so that its details appear on the panel:
Click [Create] to show the Create System options...
Select [Create system from scratch] and close the system menu designer. Back at the systems menu, click the newly created Menu 1. Creating a program A newly created menu looks like this:
If you want to hide need the labels or rename Menu 1, click the [hammer] to flip to design mode. For now, we just want to create a program and assign it to program 1 slot. Click the hammer to display the designer panel, and click [Program 1] so that its details appear on the panel:
Click [Create] to show the different options:
Select [create data entry]... and browse through the library of screens:
If you want to use the above screen for the new program, then [Get the current screen]. The menu is updated. The new program is Sample Sales Transactions ... with date/time stamp. There are several screens in the library. You can use a special program to add your own screens to the library.
Click [Close] to return to Menu 1. [Sample Sales Transactions...] opens the newly created program. Cloning a program Instead of creating a data entry program, you may want to clone an existing spreadsheet. From Create Program options of designer panel, select [Clone a spreadsheet]. Select a spreadsheet and [Continue]...
An image of the spreadsheet is displayed. Click [Clone]. There is option to include the records.
On return to program menu, the cloned spreadsheet should be fully operational. |
