AP GRIDS

Two or more files may be displayed at the same time using grids. In this example, two grids show different views of the credit sales file.

Supplier screen has two active grids: all purchases on credit and credit purchases from current(ly shown) supplier. The grid, Grid 3 (future use) is not linked to any file. You can activate up to 9 grids per program at any time, with each grid showing all or selected records from the same or different files.

As you open this program, click [All purchases on credit] to also open the first grid. Every time you retrieve a different supplier record, click [Credit purchases from current supplier].

This is the first grid.

Grids are flexible. You decide which files, records and fields to show, the sorting order, totals to print, grid sizes, text fonts and colors.

This is the second grid:

To activate another grid, click the [hammer] of the supplier screen and select a grid ID from the list:.

You can also click [Grid 3 (future use)] to show the grid details on the designer panel.

Click the [Grid Creator] command...

...to show all files. Select API Purchase File and [Continue]...

...to give you an idea on how a grid is created:

There are 5 record selection criteria, 5 levels of sorting data, and 5 total fields.

Clicking the label Action explains each of them:

Do not change the grid options at this time. Click [Back] of [Close] to return to supplier screen.
